Our Laaste Dae-toer is between 11th and 27th April 2019, from Cape Town to Joburg and back. We’ll play shows at least once a day.

This event will be held at a secret location on the Jonkershoek road. All guests will be notified of the exact location closer to the time – bookings are therefore essential. The show will be child-friendly and we encourage families to attend. Bring your own drinks and snacks.

Bainskloof (Wellington) - McBains (FB page)

This is going to be pure magic. We recorded some of our new album here in 2018, and it’s great to be back! Come stay over and make full use of the fresh mountain air (and maybe even the hot tub…)

Tickets & accommodation: R500 pp Friday night, includes accommodation, show and light meal. Hosts Justin Nurse & Ma’ayan Hamilton encourage everyone to hang around and enjoy the splendour of the mountains for the whole weekend. Louw and Pieter are our only fans in Knysna (as far as we know), so we decided to throw a party at their house. We’ll be talking about seahorses and environmental impact assessments and, quite likely, beer and freedom.

Port Elizabeth – Guy and Jill’s garage in Newton Park (FB event)

Tonight there will be three bands on the bill: we’re joined by local act Rikalet. The gig is in the suburbs, in a big garage. Bring your own drinks and snacks. Kids welcome – make a family outing of it before the schools start again…

This is where The Buckfever Underground started out as a student band 21 years ago! We’ll do a short lunchtime promo show at historic The Provost Café but the real show is the evening at Madhatters’ on High Street. We’ll be joined by our long-time guitarist Righard Kapp and local act Bitterbos.

Today we squeeze in two shows, with a free show in Somerset East’s Karoo Tech Hub in the morning and a full length performance that evening in Cradock’s stately Victoria Manor. This is all home turf to Toast: he went to school in Somerset East and was born in Cradock.

We’re really just performing here to have a cup of tea with him. It’s a short, free promo show meant to entice you to come check out our full performance in the evening in Smithfield, centre of the universe in so many ways. We’ve played here before and we’re so happy to be back. It’s at the Bowling Club and Mr Greg May is our host.

Today we drive to Cape Town but we linger at a favourite farm stall near Leeu-Gamka for an informal, short show (and ginger beer…) between 11 am-12 pm: Rietfontein-padstal. Then we put foot down the N1 for Cape Town and a home-coming of sorts at one of the city’s best venues, The Alma Café.
